Golden, Inc. Realtors was formed in 1989 when broker, Tim Holt, purchased Century 21 Golden Real Estate from Dot Augustin and Marcy Prilliman.Â Augustin retired at that time from the real estate business and Prilliman remained with the newly formed corporation as an Associate Broker.
Golden, Inc. Realtors founder, Tim Holt, grew up in Hutchinson, Kansas, graduating from Buhler High School and Hutchinson Junior College before moving to Wichita to continue his education.Â Tim worked in construction, first as a roofing foreman then later running a foundation crew to earn money to support his young family and put himself through college.Â He earned a B.A. from Wichita State University in 1973.Â In 1974, Tim became licensed as a real estate agent selling homes for Matt Eck Real Estate, and then later formed his own real estate company, Tim Holt Real Estate, Inc.Â He was elected as a State Representative in 1976 and served as representative for his district in Wichita, Kansas until 1978.Â Tim kept his campaign promise not to become a 'career politician' and returned full time to the real estate business working as a New Homes Manager and Sales Manager/Trainer for Century 21 Matt Eck Real Estate until his purchase of Century 21 Golden Real Estate in 1989.Â Tim has served on the Kansas Civil Service Board from1985-1990, is current chairman of the Kansas Real Estate Commission and is Past President of the Wichita Area Association of Realtors for 2010. Since 1986 he has been an active board member of Old Cowtown Museum and is active in helping to build homes with Habitat for Humanity.Â He and wife, Marcy, live on a farm west of Wichita and have six children, 15 grandchildren andÂ 2 great-grandchildren.
